Want to have a blast in the snow this winter?

There are tons of great activities to do in the snow like sledding and catching snowflakes on your tongue. But if you want to try something new this winter, there’s a lot more you can do. Hint: you can even make a dessert out of snow!

Keep reading to learn 5 fun snow activities and creations that will bring your winter wonderland to life.

1. Build a Snowman

Building a snowman is a fantastic winter activity.

To make a snowman, start by stacking 3 balls of snow on top of each other. Then, give him sticks for arms, a carrot for a nose, and a few rocks for a smile. And you can bring him to life with a scarf and a hat!

And if you’re a Disney fan, you could even try to make Olaf the snowman.

2. Construct a Fortress

To build your fortress, start by building bricks of snow. After you’ve created the bricks, stack them on top of each other to make your walls. Any gaps in your fort can be packed in with more snow.

And if you don’t have a snow brick maker, don’t worry. Instead, pack the snow in tightly and continue to add more layers until you’ve formed a wall.

3. Have a Snowball Fight

If you have a few friends nearby, invite them over and have a snowball fight. Split the group up into 2 teams and give each team a home base. Then, create some rules for the game and let those snowballs fly!

And if you want to make the game extra fun, get yourself a snowball launcher

4. Make Snow Cones

Playing in the snow can make you hungry, so why not make a snow cone?

To do this, grab snow from outside and put it in bowls or cones. Then, douse the snow with different flavored snow cone syrups. After that, dig in!

But if you’re not a fan of snow cones, you could also make snow ice cream.

5. Do a Scavenger Hunt

If you want to do a scavenger hunt, there are 2 super awesome options.

Option 1: make a list of items you could find in nature such as berries, pine cones, and bird feathers. Then, the first one to collect all the items off the list wins.

Option 2: one person hides a bunch of random items in the snow. Then, everyone must find as many of those items as possible.
